ATF III is a premium synthetic automatic transmission fluid (ATF) designed to meet the performance requirements of DX II, DX III, and Mercon specifications. Engineered for use in a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles manufactured prior to the mid-2000s, it is suitable for automatic transmissions and power steering systems where older-generation ATFs are specified. Formulated to the last-generation DX IIIH standard, it delivers enhanced thermal stability, smoother gear shifts, and extended service life under demanding operating conditions. Dyed red for easy leak detection, ATF III is fully compatible with earlier DX and Mercon-type fluids, making it ideal for both top-ups and complete fluid replacement. Its advanced synthetic formulation offers excellent low-temperature fluidity, increased clutch pack capacity, and superior protection for copper and bronze components. This ATF is also suitable for hydraulic systems where ISO 22/32 or SAE 10W oils are recommended. It is not recommended for CVT, DCT, or systems requiring DX VI, Mercon V, SP, or LV fluids.
