Demineralised Water
Demineralised Water
Product Description
Demineralised Water (also known as deionised water) is a high-purity, clear, colourless, and odourless water product with a typical Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level of 1–10 mg/L. It is refined through a process that removes mineral ions and impurities such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, and sulphate, making it ideal for applications requiring minimal conductivity and chemical reactivity. With a pH of 7.2 and conductivity typically below 0.1 mS/cm at the time of production, it is widely used in industrial, laboratory, and automotive environments.
This water is suitable for mixing with all types of engine coolants (Type A and Type B), helping to prevent scale build-up and corrosion in cooling systems. It is also recommended for use in lead-acid batteries, steam irons, autoclaves, aquariums, and delicate plant care. Its high purity ensures compatibility with OEM-approved coolant premixes and extends the life of both coolants and batteries. Demineralised Water should be stored in a cool, dark place and remains stable for up to 24 months in its original packaging.
Features & Benefits
• Maximises lifespan of engine coolants and lead-acid batteries by preventing mineral scale build-up and corrosion caused by impurities found in regular water.
• Compatible with all coolant types (Type A, Type B, OAT, Hybrid), making it versatile for automotive and industrial cooling systems.
• Reduces chemical reactivity in mixtures due to its low mineral and salt content, helping maintain the stability of sensitive formulations.
• Ideal for multiple applications including laboratory use, autoclaves, aquariums, steam irons, and plant care, thanks to its high purity and low conductivity.
